Well today was an easy day versus Sunday! Thank you lord for the rest. Well lets start. We got up, did our morning vesting, Susan sat on the couch with us playing her newest addiction iAssociate2 and I wrote my blog, much like every morning.
Parker's lip continues to heal, and so does his attitude. I am going to take the TV back to office as it needs to be done and he has had it for almost 3 weeks. Time to return the toy! Parker continued to Geek out with the latest version of mindcraft, best $20 I have ever spent. He can now build more stuff! The downside will be ending on Tuesday, as we start the process of sports and athletics. He is going back to playing during the day, and Daddy is going back to the gym!
Marietta slept until 7:30. Mind you it must be at least 7:30 or she will yell! I made the mistake of going in at 7:20. Since she showered at 6:30 I was surprised she went back to sleep. It seems so strange that she is a teenager in the full throttle way. She can sleep at the drop of the hat in the morning and wants to stay awake in the evening.
I think the 9 o'clock bedtime rule might need to be started again. I believe it might help quite a bit. There of course are flexible times, as for weekends and holidays and special days. But, I think it needs to happen. We need to make sure they get at least 8 to 9 hours of sleep. Like Susan and myself, both children are tired. So, it is time to be the evil enforcer. The good news is I don't have to do this until Sunday night as they are out of school until then.
So, work was busy and frustrating. The market manager for F3 continues to give disjointed information and often times not correct data. Example calling the new exchange NLX not NYPC. The difference makes it hard to transpose the data in my mind when talking with the outside world. Add to the fact that Futures symbols got changed to a new format. Perhaps what we need to do is make a new asset class thread to handle "futures options" different from "futures". Just a thought. Not sure about the work to do this, but it sure would help. With the new work we are doing on the asset class for ROCFI, perhaps this will help.
Last night Marietta had a 1 hour session with Jen and two other girls. One was Lauren, who is the backup setter at Saint Stephens, and Callie Pate, who is a sweet 6th grader who needs to work more on her game and less on her lip! Love the Pater girl, but if she wants to set she needs to focus and anticipate. I must be getting better at evaluating players. In addition I keep seeing how much I enjoy watching Brian Popinnga coach. He really is a great coach. I wonder if he will do a 16's team next year? We will see.
So we then went to bed and again the wonderful children could not sleep. Between the texting and phone calls, that's right phone calls from their rooms that are 50 feet from our own, we did not get them settled till almost 11 p.m. I am not at all happy about this situation. I am thinking the 9 p.m. bed time might be the solution. If I get them in bed by 9 perhaps they will be asleep by 10? Just a thought.
Finally notes. The SEC now has the top 3 teams in the NCAA college football polls. LSU, Alabama, Arkansas. Strange world. Pray with me for UT to bring their "A" game to the last Texas vs Texas A&M game for the foreseeable future. I wish we were better, but perhaps it will be a great game. I know both teams will be trying their best.
Well that is all for today folks. My life so far was boring and for a change it was very nice to be going slow.
