Well Monday was a trip. Not only did we start the day like any other day, but Marietta had her first day of off-season the day after her first day of volleyball. Needless to say she was sore and tired. So tired, that she did not shower until tuesday morning.
Parker, Susan and I had our 3-5 week appointment with Mark White. It went okay and we learned some new techniques. We seem to be a bit busy as far as a family. Is this a hint that we should slow down? Maybe it is just a be careful not to miss life while living life. He is right, as it is the journey not the destination. Because we have to realize we are all going to the same place.
So we had a lovely dinner of chicken, snow peas and rice. Susan did a great job, and when you look at her plate I find it hard to believe she is able to keep it together much less get a dinner on the table. Thank you honey.
Dale is not doing well. The broken hip is causing him a lot of pain even after the surgery. The part that is worrisome is that we are now 72 hours past the surgery and he still has not stood up. This is two fold, one is pain and the other is his O2 levels are low, very low. He was moved from private room to IMU because of the O2 capacity. He needs to get moving, but that is not happening. This is a stressor on Susan and as a result on all of us. She is going though a lot of worry and sadness. I know the feeling all too well. I love her, but don't know what to do, perhaps she will tell me?
Also last night my little brother Jon called. He wanted to talk, and see if I got A&M vs OU tickets. I did not, but we talked about 1 & 3/4 hours. It was nice to talk with him and he seemed lucid and complete. It was a pleasant conversation.
Susan left for the hospital at that time and kissed me goodbye. I could really tell she is worried about her dad. I know that she is, and want to tell it will be okay, but I have her concerns.
Marietta, Parker and I then laid down in Parker's room to watch a episode of Jericho. We had fun up until Parker told me his lip was really hurting. I looked and omg, his lip was swollen.

I gave him some benedryl and he went off to sleep. Unfortunately it was still swollen in the morning. I am now concerned about it and will take him to the minute clinic or his pediatrican first thing Tuesday morning. We will see.
Well that is all for Monday, Monday sports fan.
