Lets start with the bizarre world of sports. This was a bad weekend a fan of either Oklahoma team. OSU lost to Iowa State on Friday night, and then Baylor, poor hapless Baylor, knocked off the mighty Sooners of Oklahoma. That was a big win. In other sports news, Oregon lost to USC. Clemson got knocked off and Nebraska. What a weekend for college football.
Right now I am sitting in the ICU room A9 with my father in law and my mother in law. We are talking about sports and weather. He is being a bit of a prima donna, as the conversation is moving a bit fast and he is still a little on the confused side. He moves around in conversation and thoughts are random at time.
The doctors are doing a good job but, Dale is being a bit scattered. Hopefully the O2 will help. Between the moving of the rooms and the amount of pain he has been in, it was a wonder he is coherent at all. I do love him and want him to get better. My kids deserve to have at least one grandfather at their High School and College graduation. Fingers crossed.
So yesterday we attended Dr. Allen Becker's funeral. He was the father of Stephen Becker who is Marietta's god father. It was a lovely service and great music. I do love joyful, joyful we adore thee. Afterwards we went to the reception at the Stephen and Emily's house. It was well attended and I went and found a quite place to watch the Texas game, by the way we lost 17-13 but was a good game. It was there that the hospital called Susan and told us that Dale was under distress and had been moved to ICU. We hung around till 9:30 and were informed by the Doctor that Carlos Dale was going to be okay for the night.
Well that is about all sports fans. Love to all and peace of god be with you!
