Yesterday was Halloween. So a quick update. Parker went as a "morph-man", a full body orange stocking. Marietta went as a greek goddess. He looked "unusual", she looked beautiful.
So, yesterday we had a knock down drag out about doing the nettie pot. In the end he did it, but we had to complain for at least 10 minutes. Resulting in him being angry most of the rest of the morning. He really does not like to get up in the A.M. We then went into the back to start the rest of his treatments. He screamed and yelled about it being unfair. About how he is mis treated. It was all fun and games for a Monday morning.
Marietta on the other hand found her voice yesterday morning and was quite the forceful voice about outfit and opinion. Sometimes Susan and Marietta are a little to close to each other's personality for my comfort.
My battle scar continues to heal. The problem still remains the knee and now swelling of my ankle. Left over fluid from the damage to my knee. After sleeping with the leg up the fluid pretty much drains, but by 11 the next day it is swollen again. Good god I hate being old. I miss telling my mom about my aches and pains, and hearing about hers.
Work continues and I was a lazy one yesterday. Could not get my head in the game, and with the throbbing of my ankle it did not help. Got to get more done tomorrow.
So on Halloween night, it was so pleasant we sat outside at a neighbors house and gave out candy. It was a blast, and I got to know Todd Morgan a little better. He seems like a great guy and I am looking forward to getting to know them. Their boys Hill(10) and Drew(8) are pretty darn cute and Parker took them trick or treating. Hill was a Texas Ranger baseball player and Drew an "angry bird". Pretty funny stuff. They made an obscene haul and went to our house and divided it up then played "HALO" for an hour.
After that we came home. Parker bathed and did his evening vesting, saline and pulmozyne. No fight or fuss. Evening's are so much easier in most cases.
On the subject of my daughter, who attended a "high school" halloween party last night about 5 blocks away. She agreed to going about 3 weeks ago when invited, then proceeded to try and attend a separate party in south austin. We explained the rules of our family. You attend the what you say you are going to attend. We do not "better deal". It is wrong!!! She ended up being very petulant and angry about going at 7:30. In the end I got her at 10:15, she had stated she would call by 8:30 as she was not going to have a good time(lol).
Well that is about all that is going on in my house and my life. I leave you with the following link to Rick Perry's latest incoherence.
