Today House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, from the Virginia 7th district, visited Austin Texas to meet with a group of UT entrepreneurs and meet with RGM afterwards and pick up a check. Hope it was productive!
Recap on the personal front. Parker fought me on treatment and then was complacent the rest of the day. We went to scouts and Parker found out Nicholas Matzorkis had joined our troop. He was really happy to find that out! They had a great meeting and now I need to finish working with Parker on his last 3 tasks before I arrange the court of review.
Marietta called us in the morning to say good-bye before she had to give up her phone for her two day 3rd world immersion at Heifer. I miss her a lot, but am so proud of her.
Susan made soup last night. It was tasty, but because I had eaten at Fogo de chow could not even begin to think about eating dinner until 9 or 10. I love that woman, and she makes this house our home. We seem to be having more snap's at each other. I sometimes think it has to do with the lack of time we are both experiencing. I have to remember that in 4 short years, Marietta will no longer be living here, and 3 years later Parker will be gone. We are well over 1/2 done with the parenting aspect of our life.
So in the world around me we have seen quite a bit of news. Since Tuesday was election day, we have to laugh. Everything passes. I wonder if anybody knows that the passing of the ability to tax results always in being Taxed. I would like to know of one case where the tax was rolled back. While the rich tax rate lowers my local taxes increase. Since a 5% rollback on my taxes does not offset the 10% increase in my property taxes I lose, but a 5% rollback for a multi-millionare who has a 10% increase in property taxes, gets back $50,000 but only pays $20,000 more in taxes. That is a net gain of $30,000. Where is the parity? The loss of revenue is not offset, so this is where we borrow against our future. It is the definition of insanity. We keep doing the same thing and expect different results.
Herman Cain now has 4 women who claim he sexually harassed them. If I were in charge of his election bid, I would go out, find a woman who will make the claim, who you can discredit as false, set her up. Allow one to two weeks of fame, then shoot her down. Discredit one and you would discredit all! Just a thought, and don't be surprised if it happens. I scare myself at the way my brain sometimes works.
Matt Lauer was in Madrid, Spain. A place I would like to go with Susan someday! Perhaps someday should be our one day.
Things still on my list todo.
1. Do I do a tail-gate on November 19th? If so, who will help.
2. Make plans for my February visit to London. Parker and Marietta will still be here so we will have to arrange Aunt Janie and Uncle Andy support. Should we take a few days and go to Paris during this trip?
3. Christmas presents for the family.

Well that is it for today sports fan. This is my life so far.
