If you are looking for 20111102 don't there is no post. I was lazy and delinquent in my posting! So sue me!
I have two days to recap. No really hard, but we will start at the beginning. Parker has been a dream the last two morning as far as vesting and saline are concerned! yeah!!!! On Wednesday night we got a call from his Math teacher to inform us that Parker was the star of the week! That had happened the prior friday and what did we think about it? We informed us that Parker had not told us about him being the Math star of the week. She was surprised and in a way so am I. I would have expected him to tell us, but I also know he is somewhat of a shinny object person!
Marietta is prepping from Heifer. She goes on Sunday evening to spend several days in the model world. I am so hoping she does not draw a third world nation for it will be hard on her not to eat for multiple days. We will see, but I know she will have a great time nevertheless. On another front she got an 81 by Mr. Warren on her Urban Decay paper, she was a bit upset and was suppose to talk to him about the problem. I have not heard the result of that conversation.
Susan has read my blog a bit. She pointed out a very valid point, that I do not post a lot about her. That from a third party view it might appear she is dead or we are divorced. Nothing could be further from the truth. She is the love of my life, and I do take her for granted. But, I ask you sports fans, what can you say about the person who completes your life. She is the reason I am writing about my life and family and not a technical blog discussing the dry points of C++ or AWK. She is the reason I am not 100% geek 24/7. Is this a good thing, I think so. Every morning she gets up with me to sit with Parker. She does'nt have to, but she does. We sit and watch the news and I type this blog. She gives me a reason to go to work and more importantly to come home. I so love her and how she makes me feel. She is my rock, my cheerleader, my wife, my friend, my greatest love. I love you sweetheart and thank you.
So NASDAQ. The NASDAQ group came and wined and dined us. They are great guys. We had dinner at Vespiao and drinks before at the "W". It was very nice and we discovered they are about to file with the SEC on a new data feed. In theory it will be 10x faster than the current data feed. They quoted me to say it will be 5x more expensive. For a group that was with ISLD before being bought by NASDAQ I found it funny. In addition all 3 guys hail from Texas. I wonder about that twist. Did they do that on purpose? That was the net net of the evening. The conversation was great, the food was sublime and I had a long walk back from south congress to the office with RGM general council Bailey K. That was very great and I took full advantage of the time to talk with him about the company and my view of the world. He is really a pretty cool dude.
Well that is about it. Not a lot happening and really not very interesting, but that is my life so far, a work in progress.
J.
