Recap of Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Friday. Susan went to Emily Beckers birthday party. Marietta spent the night out with Maddie Rowe, Parker and I went and got the 42" TV from RGM for the Tail gate. Then packed up for the tailgate.
Saturday. Up at 6 a.m. to set up for what might be the final tailgate of the season. Set up. Drink Bloody Marys made by the award winning recipe from Patrick McLaughlin of L.A. They were tasty. We set up the tents and had what maybe the best rocking tailgate of the season. The fact that U.T. beat Tech 52-20 did not hurt the mood one bit. Afterwards it was cleanup, home and unload. My entire family helped clean up, a new first and a welcome one!! While Susan and Marietta had no real reason to help, and Marietta did it a bit relucantly, Parker was driven by the fact the borrowed 42" TV would be in his room the rest of the weekend. That night was LSU and Bama game. Most valuable LSU player ended up being the Bama Field goal kicker. He missed 3 attempts. One from 30 yrds.
Sunday was time fall back, and Church. Jill preached, and I am trying to like her and get a message, but she lacks the force, her message is too much love and sugar and hard for me to take into the week. After Church Marietta and Susan had to go to a mother-daughter wedding shower for Patti Cumby. They got home and we were finishing packing for Marietta for her trip to Heifer for AGS. Late in the Afternoon Susan had to go to another shower for Patti, she was one of the hostess. In the meantime we finished packing, loading the car and drove up to Randall's to pick up some snacks. Then to Mia and Grandad for a kiss good-bye and some conversation. Susan told us we needed to be at AHS at 8, but because Austin Stone church meets until almost 8:30, we were not suppose to be there until 8:30. So we went to 7-11 got a soda, and slurpee, water and pop tarts then returned to AHS. We started the load and got her on her bus. She was with her friend Maddie Rowe, which made her and maddie extremely happy. Parker and I got home around 9:15. For him it was bath and then treatment, albeit modified with only pulymozine. Then bed for both him and myself. Susan got home around 9:45 and sat with us for a few minutes. We then talked a few and I went to bed. I was tried and she was not quite there. I love that woman.
Well that was the recap. The interesting things in the world. Texas is now ranked 21st in the rankings. Find that one funny as we are only 6-2 and am not sure we deserve the ranking. Hopefully we will beat Missouri on Saturday.
Andy Rooney died at the ripe old age of 92.
My in-laws are becoming more calcified in their political views. The now believe Herman Cain is a victim of the charges! Still curious how you can spin the sexual harasment charges from aggressor to victim. I love these guys, but how can they be so blind to someone's faults? I have to keep reading, as I do not want that to happen to me. God grant me the strength to work harder and continue to grow as a person so that I am never one source information.
In the past week we have watched Rick Perry marginalize himself with his latest video
No idea if he was on drugs, drunk or sleep deprived.
In addition we saw a video of a south texas judge beating his daughter for using napster 10 years ago.
We heard about the sex scandal at Penn State.
This morning Matt Lauer is in Namibia for the where in the world is Matt Lauer.
Well that is my life so far. WHEEE!!!!!!
