20110825-Reboot

Well, it is 6:30 a.m. and while my son does his CF vesting and saline nebulizer I am going to try and write a little. I am not sure exactly what I am trying to accomplish with this blog, or if I have the strength to stick to it. Let's give it one last try.

Things with my life.

1. Made it to the gym last night. Did the eliptical for 60 minutes, 760 calories, and 7698 steps. That was a bit over 4 miles.

2. My son keeps fighting me on his CF treatments.

3. Current treatment protocol:

Morning

Nasal Wash

Flonase

Culturel

Cipro Anti-biotic (Next 4 weeks)

2 hits of Abuterol to open his lungs up

Vesting (16/8/30 minutes)

Saline nebulizer (takes about 20 minutes)

Evening

Nasal Wash

Flonase

Culturel

Cipro Anti-biotic

2 hits of Abuterol to open his lungs up

Vesting (16/8/30 minutes)

Saline nebulizer

Pulmozene (takes about 10 minutes)

4. My daughter made the Freshman "A" team in volleyball! I am a proud daddy.

5. My daughter started AGS at her school! Double proud.

Well those are the major incidents in my current life. This Saturday my son has to start a cayston anti-biotic cycle. The up side of this is he will only have one more cycle after this, the down side is that it is a 3 times a day for 28 days. That is a long haul, it will make sure his psudomocus(sic) has been completely knocked out.

So a comment on my son. About 18 months ago, Parker was diagoised with CF. He is now 12 and so this was a late diagoises. This in conjunction with his Doctors lack of sympathy in dealing with late diagnosis has put a lot of stress on both Parker and on both his mother and myself.

Well that is about all for this morning, hopefully this will get better over time!! Fingers crossed.
