Self-Ego

March 5th, 2015

So, I asked myself, "Self" doing this blog, does it make me selfish, egotistical or just plain stupid?  Who knows, but most importantly, who cares.  I allowed myself to be stopped once when I was writing this blog, I look back on that moment, like several in my past, and realize I played it safe.  Did not want to be a boat rocker, a person who upset the status quo.  That was a mistake.  I should never listen to an outsider telling me how to live my life, what I see and how I should react to that action.  The result will always be that said person will abuse their asserted authority over you.  If you do something outside of your day job, and it makes you happy, then if you do not use private information you should be able to write what you want, publish what you like.  Pay the penalty that those thoughts and images may not be popular or liked, but do not do something as a result of a preceived safety.  Face it sports fans, there is nothing safe in this life.

On that note, I will stop.  I just want a place to chat about what I care about, what I see and observe.  So today there was a crash in Katmandu of a Turkish Airplane.  The total talk of the office.

The cost of the plane (256,000,000 USD).  Will it be repaired?  Fact it closed the airport for many hours.  The only international airport in Nepal.  Makes you count your blessings for obvious reasons.

Ex-Governor Rick Perry again is trying to be relevant.  "Hair", my pet name for the man, is now taking credit for Carbon Dioxide reductions.  Well he did stop making speeches here in Texas....that was quite a reduction in hot air for sure.  He tells folks lies, the problem is nobody calls him on the said "Facts" he states.  Like Fox or MSNBC, the scroll a small list of "oops" at the end of the show, but really they should have to make more of an action. Like a show that explains every lie they make. The news writers should have to apologize for any lie or failure to fact check.  For any twist of the truth.  I love this country, but I get my news from BBC america, it is the least tilted of all the news outlets.  Sad that the best news is from another county.

Final note for today.  I miss you Mom.  I miss you C. Dale.  I even miss you Dad.  Each of you taught me something and impacted my life in ways I still discover today.  May you all rest in peace and remember that I love each of you.

That's all sports fans.
