Rebirth

Well today starts my rebirth in blogging.  I am 52 years old and have lost my job.  That is not to say my job disappeared, but that RGM let me go on November 12, 2013.  Nice!!!!  So, I need to find a new job.  How you ask.  Well step 1 is to write a resume.  I have started that process, and am actively looking for a new job.  This will be a day by day reminder of the work I have done and the quest to find a new job.  Today I talked with Mike Marchesi at Instinet, there is hope there to work remotely but like everyone, they want JAVA.  So my task is now to learn JAVA.  I have time, but it is a bit frustrating that I have made myself obsolete in the last 3 years by working my bottom off and trying to build a team of guys who could do anything.  So, I have learned a few things.

1.  Be a team player.
2.  Blow your own horn.
3.  Put forth ideas, even if they end up being shot down, you never know.
4.  Don't get discouraged.
5.  Be positive and build relationships.

That is about it sports fans.
