In addition, I believe my boss may be gunning for me. I need to make sure I am moving forward on all projects assigned to me. I have 4 weeks to finish them all. Stay focused Mr. Wise.
On the home front I got the Christmas Tree out. Hope the smells from the Garage will clear off the tree. We will see. I also cleaned the pool, put in a ton of chlorine and yellow out. Talk about a pain. It is green and I am hoping to turn the pool around. Would have been good not to overflow the pool, but that is not what happened. OUCH!!!!
Parker is doing well. While the whining is loud at times, Suzie and I are working a united front to make sure he no longer can do end arounds.
Marietta is also doing well. I am worried that she has lost focus on grades, but please remember that she is still very young and has ample time to correct. In the meantime both myself and Susan are pounding in the importance of education. Cross your fingers and toes on this one.
Susan is not so good. I believe she is too worried about yours truly. The death of my mom has really been hard on me and like the wonderful caregiver that my wife is, she is concerned about me. Of course the 30 lbs I have gained might have something to do with my sadness also.
She has been a trooper. I have finally gotten out of my own self absorption enough to notice she is having issues as well. Her dad's health is not great. This is adding to her stress.
Last night Susan served a wonderful meal of Chicken Kiev on fresh Spinach with green beans. It was wonderful. Marietta said the prayer. I am trying to institute a new tradition of everyone saying something they liked about the day, something that did not go well, and some way they helped another person. It seems silly, but I believe it might help in pointing out our lack of concern about others and perhaps the pettiness of our day to day complaints. It might also make us take time to appreciate the kindness of the world around us.
Well no real observations today, just complaints and cavetches. Is that really a word?
This is my life so far.
